A Radford man has been charged with numerous sex crimes involving children after an investigation that involved an online meeting with a Pulaski County female under the age of 14.
Arthur William Jones II, 43, faces three counts of indecent liberties with a child and 25 counts of carnal knowledge of a child, according to a Radford-issued media release Monday.
Under Virginia law, the term "carnal knowledge" refers to a wide range of forms of sexual contact.
The investigation that led to the charges was initiated by family members of the victim, according to the release. Jones was arrested on Sunday and was being held Monday in New River Valley Regional Jail without bond.
The case is still under investigation and more charges are expected, according to the release.
