GREENE COUNTY, VA - A Church Hill, Tennessee man has been arrested and charged with: Use of communications systems to facilitate certain offenses involving children, and an Attempt to commit indecent liberties with children.
The investigation conducted by the Washington County Virginia Sheriff’s Office began in December over a period of two (2) days. Online chats with an individual identified as DAVID RANDALL SNAPP, age 54 of Church Hill, Tennessee were conducted by a Detective, during which time several propositions of sexual activity were made by SNAPP.
SNAPP has been extradited to Virginia and is currently being held in the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail in Abingdon, Virginia without bond.
The investigation was conducted by Detective J. S. Blevins as part of the Southern Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (SOVA-ICAC). It was the first case worked by Blevins after receiving Undercover Chat Training at the SOVA-ICAC offices in Forest, Virginia in November.
